Evo-S was designed based on the experience gained during installation of remote data transmission from metering systems throughout the country. The basic and most important function of the device is to receive data from meters and deliver it to the indicated recipients. In addition, the device is equipped with a so called power guard that constantly analyses the power usage. Thanks to built-in relays, it can control devices to decrease power intake or to turn on light or sound signals to alert you of potential power overruns. Communication with meters is organised via serial (RS232, RS485, CLO), pulse (relay, OC – open collector) or optical interface (optical head). The collected meter data are transmitted electronically (via e-mail as an attachment, FTP server, SCP, etc.) to the indicated addresses or made available via the www interface.
Evo-S has a built-in web browser that allows you to configure your device in any location using an Ethernet network. In addition, it also has a built-in USB port that allows you to use the wireless connection via a Wi-Fi card or a GSM modem.
The device is used in case of power constraints. It facilitates online real-time preview of power consumption both instantaneous and forecasted at the end of the averaging time according to the distributor’s billing system. Thanks to Evo-S, the user is able to react to any power limits introduced by PSE S.A. or a local Distribution Network Operator in either manual mode (i.e. using power consumption preview to manually adjust power consumption) or automatic mode (i.e. using power supply relays).
Basic features of the device:
- Data collection via CLO, RS485, RS232, pulse outputs, optical head;
- Remote and easy configuration via web interface;
- Automatic data transmission via email or upload to FTP, SCP server;
- Access to data stored in internal memory or directly from the meter (transparent mode);
- Online monitoring of consumption parameters: instantaneous power, forecast power, power overruns, contractual TgFi overruns, monitoring of active and passive energy;
- Easy configuration of data collection;
- Secure access to data;
- Possibility to control the work of devices connected to Evo-S;
- Power guard function;
- Automatic adjustments of consumed power;
- Real-time clock synchronization, based on the time read from the http server indicated at the device configuration stage;
- Time synchronization (relay) output for external devices.
